So pleased to have met and worked with Liz Sheffield when my husband Dan and I visited Santa Fe in June. We were here from CA to look around, get the lay of the land, and investigate properties to either rent or buy. We met Liz through a real estate friend of ours in Calif. After looking at rentals, we started looking a homes for sale. Liz was very helpful in getting us appointments to see many properties. (Due to Covid restrictions, it wasn’t always easy.) After driving back to CA Liz worked closely with us through the process of buying — the documents, the home inspections, title searches, negotiations with the owners and listing agent, etc.etc. She was our representative and looked after our interests. My wife and I have looked for property in Santa Fe for several years. Three years ago, I searched for “best realtor in SF” and found Liz. We met Liz and looked at properties for a day and she was such pleasure to be with. Liz had prepared a list of 8 properties that best met our criteria and we almost made an offer on one but decided not to. Last fall I called Liz again and asked if she was available on short notice to show us some properties. We met on a Sunday morning and by Sunday afternoon we had made an offer on a house that we now own. Liz knows Santa Fe so well that she was able to find multiple properties that met our criteria and point out the ads/disads of each. Once the offer was accepted, Liz stayed involved along with her tremendous assistant Karren. We like to move around in the art community in Northern New Mexico and do a little home remodeling in the process. Liz and Karren responded to our needs and identified an exclusive nest on Canyon Road. We had looked at several properties before settling on the special place. Liz knew all that was to be known about the property and identified several pressure points that saved us substantial money on the purchase. Moreover, her knowledge of remodeling experts really got us fantastic and timely results. I don’t think there are enough superlatives to adequately describe how helpful and supportive Liz was during the home buying process. As first time home buyers, we were very nervous and uncertain, but Liz and Karren simplified the process for us and guided us each step of the way. They were the ultimate advocates, making sure we had all the information at our fingertips and providing answers to questions we didn’t even know we had. They were constantly available nights, weekends, and even on Liz’s birthday to answer our every question and make sure we had everything we needed for each step in the process. My wife and I were looking for a second home in Santa Fe and did not know any local real estate agents. Our friends had previously looked for a place in Santa Fe and recommended that we speak with Liz Sheffield. When we met Liz, we instantly felt a level of comfort with Liz. We met for coffee and Liz took the time to ask the questions to get to know us. Liz put together a list of potential homes based on our answers to her questions. She culled through numerous opportunities and put together a dozen or so properties for us to see. Since we were coming to town for just a few days, i wasn’t sure if we would be able to find the right house within a short timeframe. After the first day of previews, Liz had a much better sense of what we wanted and was able to cull through more properties and set up more previews for our second day. By the end of the 2nd day, she had found us the place that was perfect! It had met every one of our requirements. Because i was not in town, I had to go through the buying process via emails and phone calls. Liz made the process so smooth. I recently bought a home in Santa Fe and hired Liz Sheffield as my real estate agent.
First and foremost, Liz is just really really great at her job.
I found her to be very in touch with what my needs were as a buyer and the homes she showed me clearly demonstrated her deep understanding of what I was looking for in a new home. Viewing homes with her was great (and fun) as she and I honed in on what I really wanted and I came to rely on her perspective and knowledge. So on the one hand, she is just fantastic at getting a feel for what a buyer is looking for in a home and its environs, and is able to translate those qualities into realistic housing possibilities.

Liz is a truly phenomenal real estate agent. It would be difficult for us to overstate her professionalism, negotiating skills and drive to get the best deal for her clients. I’d hate to negotiate against her!
Although Liz is a very busy agent, she made us feel like we were her only clients. That was quite an accomplishment in light of the many buyers and sellers that she was representing at the time we worked with her. She was available day and night, for both quick consultations and to get on the phone to talk through difficult issues.
